Odysseus-imc is pleased to announce the opening of its official online bookstore on Books.by, marking an exciting new step into independent publishing and creative storytelling.

The new store will feature a growing collection of original books designed for readers of all ages, including children’s adventures, colouring books, puzzle books, travel crosswords, and other unique illustrated titles. The store launches with The Adventures of Hamish – The Highland Hero, a bilingual English and Scottish Gaelic children’s story centred around kindness, friendship, and adventure in the Scottish Highlands.

The Books.by store has been created to provide readers with direct access to Odysseus-imc publications in both paperback and digital formats. Future releases will expand across multiple genres and formats, with a strong focus on high-quality design, creativity, and memorable reading experiences.

“Our goal is to create books that people genuinely enjoy collecting, sharing, and revisiting,” said Odysseus-imc. “This store gives us the opportunity to build a growing catalogue of imaginative and visually distinctive titles under one home.”

The launch represents the beginning of a broader publishing initiative, with additional titles and series already in development.

The Adventures of Hamish: The Highland Hero!
The Adventures of Hamish – The Highland Hero is a heartwarming bilingual colouring adventure that follows Hamish, a brave little West Highland Terrier, as he journeys through the beautiful Scottish Highlands helping friends along the way. Throughout the story, Hamish meets new companions, explores mountains, bridges, cottages, and valleys, and discovers that kindness, teamwork, and helping others make every adventure more meaningful.

What makes the book especially unique is that every page is presented in both English and Scottish Gaelic, allowing children and families to naturally learn Gaelic words and phrases while enjoying the story and colouring illustrations. The simple sentence structure and side-by-side translations make the language approachable and fun, helping readers build familiarity with Gaelic in an engaging and memorable way.

Filled with charming Highland-inspired illustrations and lovable characters including Angus the Highland Cow, Maisie the Lamb, Cooper the Pup, and Pip the Duck, the book encourages creativity, language learning, and positive values through storytelling and colouring together.
